In May of 1999 while working at my office on central Vancouver Island, a hummingbird flew into my office, and after  circling the room along the florescent lights, it landed above my desk, it was tired as its wings hung down, I reached up carefully and it turned over and sat in my hand, I then reached over and picked up my camera, a manual Canon AE1 Program, with a manual zoom, I snapped one photo, then carried it outside to set it free, while carrying it, I could feel its' little talons hanging onto my finger, its tongue came out and licked my other finger, then I snapped this photo. Within a few seconds it flew off into the sky, I will never forget the feeling of this event, it is very sacred to hold one in your hand like this
