https://photos.app.goo.gl/Ug3bfmj1kmXRTESq7 baby hummers In May of 1999 while working at my office on central Vancouver Island, a hummingbird flew into my office, and after circling the room along the florescent lights, it landed above my desk, it was tired as its wings hung down, I reached up carefully and it turned over and sat in my hand, I then reached over and picked up my camera, a manual Canon AE1 Program, with a manual zoom, I snapped one photo, then carried it outside to set it free, while carrying it, I could feel its' little talons hanging onto my finger, its tongue came out and licked my other finger, then I snapped this photo. Within a few seconds it flew off into the sky, I will never forget the feeling of this event, it is very sacred to hold one in your hand like this

My entry is of the sunrise, this morning at 6:30 AM, today is August 20, 2013, this day is the day of the full moon, apparently it is called a blue moon, my ancestor gathered together with other leaders of the time to discuss important events of the coming of the white man, on this day my white wolf (Hybrid) howled during the night for the first time, we walk together each morning watching for the sunrise, it is a very quiet time of the day, time to ponder my days events, and thank the creator for this day, as we do for each morning, my name is Laxiya (Dave Bodaly) I am from Snuneymuxw First Nation on Vancouver Island and this photo is taken on the ancestral grounds of Abraham Johnny, my grand father, since time in memorial his ancestors have always lived here, as I walk through these fields, I enjoy taking pictures of the quiet of the day, the first light, and this is my connection to the earth.
